Brad Taylor (’78 agriculture and life sciences education, ’00 professional agriculture), a retired agriculture teacher, received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Iowa Association of Agriculture Educators.

Richard Kaitany (’83 plant pathology, ’89 MS), former Iowa State distance standout, and his wife Andrea, have opened an all-girls secondary school in Rift Valley on the edge of Iten, Kenya.
